Who We Are
Inspired by Dr. Julie Van Rooyen's description - on the radio news magazine,
The World - of the epidemic sexual violence against women in the Democratic
Republic of Congo, Project Resilience was formed in early 2008 by a group of
friends in Los Angeles.
We are motivated by a collective sense of outrage and the shared resolve to
support the restoration of dignity and independence to women who have been
oppressed or victimized in the Congo and beyond.
Who helped us get here (with an attitude of gratitude)
